Webinars can be a powerful way to set you apart from the competition. They’re an opportunity to showcase your product or service while demonstrating to your customers that you and your team are subject matter experts.
Here are some tips for hosting a successful webinar that aligns with your video marketing strategy.
- When crafting your topic/title, include specific keywords your target audience may be searching with.
- Pick a webinar platform that minimizes technical difficulties and considers all factors, such as price, features, and attendee limits. Some platforms to consider are Webex, Livestorm, Adobe Connect, and StreamYard.
- Select the date and time that suits your audience's time zone. Consider hosting multiple rounds or providing a temporary recording for globally scattered attendees.
- If you’re in charge of selecting speakers, pay attention to their tone, pacing, and delivery. Your CEO may be the most knowledgeable but should be left out if they get nervous on camera.
- Consider a non-live, live webinar. A polished pre-recorded webinar will impress more customers than a sloppy live one. If you and your team aren’t confident speaking to a live audience, consider pre-recording and editing your scripted presentations and having a live Q&A section afterward.
- Ahead of the event, shoot a teaser video and add it to your social media and blog posts to get people hooked.
- Ensure all speakers have rehearsed their presentations to ensure no technical glitches and improve comfort level with the material.
- During the webinar, keep your audience hooked by incorporating storytelling, interesting facts, or rhetorical questions that help set the tone and grab their attention.
- Don't forget to follow up with attendees. Thank them for taking part, and ask them for feedback!
